Finally, after a few years of convulsion due to the pandemic and health restrictions, we are back to meet again, this time in person, at the most important congress of otolaryngology in Portugal.
From May 6th to 8th Flowgy will be taking part in the 69th Congress of the Portuguese Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in Porto, the beautiful capital of the country.
Three days in which we will have the opportunity to share medical and scientific knowledge with colleagues from around the world and do our bit to drive the progress of the ENT discipline in the implementation of new technologies and methodologies, which not only make the daily clinical practice of the specialist more efficient, but also represent a real improvement in the treatment of patients.
Manuel Burgos, CEO of Flowgy and professor of computational fluid dynamics, together with Dr. Francisco Esteban, full professor of otorhinolaryngology at the University of Seville and head of the ENT service at the Virgen del Rocio Hospital in Seville, will be presenting 3 conferences on the results of the use of Flowgy as a diagnostic and surgical planning tool in the treatment of nasal pathologies.
Thanks to the combination of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and virtual surgery techniques, the ENT specialist is provided with objective and quantitative information on the real behavior of the air in the patient’s nasal cavity and is given the possibility to simulate, virtually, surgical interventions until the best option for the patient is found.
In addition, we are pleased to present together with Dr. Tiago Chantre, from Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Lisboa Central, a conference on the use of Flowgy in patients with septal perforations.
See you in Porto at the 69th SPORL!
